AfD and Union for the first time in survey

In the middle of the black and red coalition negotiations, the Union loses approval. In the Bundestag election, the AfD was still in second place, now it also comes to 24 percent.

In a survey, the AfD is for the first time with the Union. Almost six weeks after the Bundestag election, the Union and AfD both come to 24 percent in the Sunday question. This was the result of a survey by the Insa opinion research institute for the “Bild” newspaper. For the AfD, this is an increase of one percentage point compared to the last survey and its best value so far in the survey. The election winner, the Union around Friedrich Merz, loses two percentage points.

CDU and CSU won the election on February 23 with 28.5 percent of the second votes and recently lost to the consent of the voters. The AfD landed in second place with 20.8.

The SPD can hold its value in the survey and is 16 percent. Behind it are Greens (-1) and left (+1) on par. If the Bundestag election were on Sunday, FDP (+1) and BSW (-1) would not make it into parliament. According to the survey, both parties are 4 percent.

For the survey, 1,206 citizens were interviewed between March 31 and April 4. According to the maximum statistical fault tolerance, the insane is 2.9 percentage points.

Election surveys are generally always affected with uncertainties. Among other things, waning party bindings and more and more short -term election decisions make it more difficult for opinion research institutes the weighting of the data collected. Basically, surveys only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not forecasts on the election outcome.
