Donald Trump hates fake news. Just not his own. The US President claims that the Federal Republic starts a new coal-fired power plant every week. That is strikingly wrong.
US President Donald Trump sees a boom in coal in Germany. In Germany, a coal -fired power plant is put into operation every week, Trump claimed at a meeting with the Israeli head of government Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House.

But that’s not true: According to the Federal Network Agency, the last coal -fired power plant 2020 in Datteln was completed. The coal phase -out for 2038 is also agreed in Germany. The traffic light coalition had planned to prefer the date “ideally” to 2030.
