How the black and red plans work in the account

Migration, foreign policy, economic growth: The coalition agreement describes large lines. But it also contains a lot that could be noticeable directly in the citizen’s account.

Whether taxes, pensions, BAföG or funding programs: In the coalition agreement of the CDU, CSU and SPD, many sides are concerned with the money of the citizens. According to calculations by tax experts from the Cologne German Economy Institute, the coalition agreement contains relief in a medium -sized double -digit billion dollar area.

Companies benefit from this, but a lot should also be reflected in the account of families, pensioners and other citizens. The plans are often not yet concrete enough for predictions on euros and cent. And everything is subject to enough money. But it is emerging who benefits who could save – and who may be worse in the future.

This is still the largest unknown in the bill. Union and SPD are planning a tax reform that relieves small and medium -sized incomes – from the middle of the legislative period, i.e. around two years. But they won’t get more precisely: If you have to pull out exactly how much less in the future, you are completely open.

It is certain that the commuter flat rate increases: from 2026 it should be 38 cents from the first kilometer – and not from the 21st kilometer as before. All commuters, whether by car, train or bike, can therefore start higher costs in the tax return.

Also in 2026, an “early start pension” is to be introduced. For every child from the age of 6 to the age of 18, who attended a school or other educational institution in Germany, ten euros will then flow into an old -age provision per month. If you are grown up, you should be able to pay a certain amount privately. The income from the depot should be tax -free until the retirement – but the money is only paid out in retirement age.

Many pensioners benefit from an alignment who receive mother’s pension for their childhood education. In the future, it should no longer play a role whether the children were born before 1992 or afterwards. Anyone who got children in the past can expect more money.

In the future, it should be worthwhile to work more voluntarily – with overtime or even in retirement age. No tax should not have to be paid to surcharges for overtime, which go beyond the full -time work agreed. People of retirement age who continue to work voluntarily should be able to receive up to 2,000 euros per month tax -free. Even those who take full -time from part -time should be rewarded for tax purposes.

If you do not work or only earn a little after the birth of a child and do not earn too much with your partner, you are entitled to parental allowance. This could increase noticeably, because the Union and SPD want to state both the minimum rate and the maximum. But they do not give exact figures.

Those who do not have a lot of money as a family and, for example, rely on citizens’ allowance, can also hope for a little more support in everyday activities for children. The so -called participation amount, with the costs for sports club, music school or cultural activities, is to increase from 15 to 20 euros a month.

Union and the SPD want to ensure that landlords better stick to the rental price brake, i.e. do not demand too much rent when moving to a popular residential area. To do this, consider fines for violations.

This plan is primarily intended to relieve the industry, but all citizens also benefit: the electricity tax should fall on the minimum value permitted in the EU, as well as levies and network charges. This could save at least five cents per kilowatt hour. Natural gas could become cheaper due to the planned abolition of the gas storage levy. According to calculation of the Verivox portal, a family in the family home with annual consumption of 20,000 kilowatt hours could save around 71 euros, a single household with consumption of 5,000 kilowatt hours around 18 euros.

Union and SPD are planning a BAföG increase in the 2026/2027 winter semester. The flat rate for housing costs for students who no longer live with the parents is to be raised from currently 380 to 440 euros a month. In addition, the basic requirement, which is currently at 475 euros a month, is to be adapted to the level of basic security in two steps: for the winter semester 2027/2028 and another year later. The actual BAföG set is to be further calculated individually according to the parents and other factors.

If you incorporate climate -friendly heating such as a heat pump, you can continue to expect state funding. But it is completely open how high it is. Because the controversial heating law of the traffic light government is to be abolished again and replaced by a new building energy law. “We will continue the renovation and heating promotion,” says the coalition agreement.

The popular flat -rate ticket for buses and trains should continue – but passengers have to prepare for higher prices from 2029. At the beginning of the year, the price of the ticket for nationwide local transport had been raised from 49 euros to 58 euros a month. What it could cost from 2029 is still open.

Many young adults can hardly afford to get their driver’s license. A reform of driving training should make this again more affordable. Union and SPD do not say exactly how they want to achieve this.

Air traffic tax should be reduced again – this could affect the prices for flight tickets. Airlines had removed flights from German airports with reference to the higher costs. The hope could also be that more goals will soon be flown again. But that’s not sure.

Trainer and trainer:

For trainers in the sports club, choir director and other volunteers, the tax flat rate is to be increased. You could earn up to 3,300 euros for your work without additional taxes.
