The day before, Söder had to stop the planned program for his trip to India due to a violent gastrointestinal infection. While his delegation continued from the capital Neu-Delhi to the Bavarian partner province of Karnataka, Söder had to stay in the hotel.
State Chancellor Florian Herrmann (CSU) took over the management of the trip, who met in the city of Bengaluru with representatives of the local provincial government. As planned, a new agreement to intensify the partnership between Karnataka and Bavaria should also be signed.

Söder has been a guest in India since Saturday. Until his infection, he made a variety of political and cultural appointments, among other things he met with Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who also had a great lunch in his honor. He also visited temple systems, social projects, companies and also a market. The delegation is expected back in Germany on Wednesday.
