Donald Trump looks on the train in the China customs dispute. Due to the large US market, America would not have to make a deal, he said-and stuck against the People’s Republic.
US President Donald Trump remains hard in the customs dispute with China. “The ball is with China. China has to conclude an agreement with us. We don’t have to deal with them,” spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt quoted from a statement by the president. China is no different from any other country, only bigger, said Trump.
Like all other countries, China needs the American consumer, or “to express it differently, they need our money”, Leavitt quoted the president at a press conference in the White House. She spoke to Trump and he gave her this explanation of China.
Donald Trump imposed special tariffs up to 145 percent
On previous occasions, Trump had declared that he was open to discussions, but was waiting for a call from China. The US President had imposed special tariffs of up to 145 percent on Chinese goods. In turn, Beijing reacted to 125 percent with an increase in its tariffs to US imports.
