A Mexican cartel smuggles tons of drugs into the USA. The United States is now exposing a high reward to the capture of the bosses.
The United States has suspended a bounty of five million dollars on the Mexican drug boss Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga, whose drug cartel had declared it a terrorist organization. The US State Department said another three million dollars for information that led to the capture of his brother Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga.
The Hurtado Olascoaga brothers were the leaders of the cartel “La Nueva Familia Michoacana” (LNFM), which was declared a foreign terrorist organization at the end of February. According to the Foreign Ministry, the reward is the first for a cartel classified as a terrorist organization. According to estimates by the anti-drug authority, the drug cartel smuggling more than 36 tons of methamphetamine, 12 tons of heroin and 12 tons of cocaine in the United States every year.
The Trump government had declared certain groups and cartels to be foreign terrorist organizations in order to contain the illegal immigration and to secure the southern border.
