An infection suddenly ended the India trip of CSU boss Markus Söder. The cause of Bavaria’s prime minister expresses suspicion – and after toast and tea anticipation of Bavarian food.
Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder has commented on the possible cause of his gastrointestinal infection after his journey of India was demolished. “It wasn’t because of the food,” said the CSU boss of the “Augsburg Allgemeine” (Thursday). “According to the experts, I probably got that in the slum with a water touch.”
The infection was “short and violent”, said Söder, who could no longer compete the last stage of his trip to India because of the infection. Instead, he stayed in the hotel – according to one of his contributions on social media, there was toast and tea.
“Look forward to a pork knuckle”
“Thank God” but the symptoms are over again, said Söder. “I’m looking forward to a pork knuckle now, soon again.”
In addition to recovery requests, there was also a lot of ridicule and malice on social networks under Söder’s photo of his disease food – for example because it was assumed that Söder had eaten something wrong in India. In India, there are not uncommon for traveling gastrointestinal infections.
Until his infection, Söder had made a large number of political and cultural appointments in India, including with Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who also had a great lunch in his honor. He also visited temple facilities, social projects, companies and a market. Due to Söder’s forced break, State Chancellor Florian Herrmann (CSU) took over the tour guide.
