US President Trump likes to praise himself. But he doesn’t have to do that in the cabinet meetings-he has ministers for that. Critics are alienated, individuals make comparisons to the regime in North Korea.
A lot is different in the government of US President Donald Trump – also the cabinet meetings, which should now be a maximum transparent. But they show one thing above all: without praise and homage to the president, it is not possible. In front of the press, Trump calls up a cabinet member after the other at an oval table in the White House and reports how many people were deported, which environmental laws were lifted or how much money was saved in the Ministry. And almost everyone starts their report with a flattery.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who does not wear a government office, but is sitting at the table, begins his report on the latest cuts with the words: “Thanks to their fantastic leadership”.
Minister of Homeland Protection Kristi Noem praises the small number of new migrants with the words: “Mr. President, thank you for your leadership at the border”. Trump, who likes to praise himself, usually accepts the worthings with a smile and sometimes praises praise – for example: “Great job, Kristi”.
Agriculture Minister Brooke Rollins recognizes the cohesion of the cabinet, which has become a family. The mutual appreciation and respect for each other are “a reflection of them and their leadership”.
“You have been elected by an overwhelming majority”
Justice Minister Pam Bondi is part of the boss: “You have been elected by an overwhelming majority, the Americans wanted her because of her agenda as president.”
The head of the department for small businesses, Kelly Loeffler, who can also sit at the cabinet table, is also full of praise: “Mr. President, on behalf of the American manufacturers, I would like to thank you for your forehead (…).”
On social media, the cabinet sessions are described as “cringe”, ie embarrassing, as reported by the “Huffington Post”. The online newspaper quoted the former Republican MP Joe Walsh to X: “It’s so damn gross. This is a sect.”
Comedian Meyers: Trump apparently needs this for self -esteem
The late night comedian Seth Meyers said that after the stock exchange fright, Trump used to “strengthen his self-esteem” because of his customs policy and called his cabinet together for the “ritual ride of the lips and butt kisses”.
Tommy Vietor, an ex-press spokesman for President Barack Obama and er, speaks of a session as in the authoritarian North Korea. Everyone should see these cabinet meetings. They are “humiliation for everyone involved”.
The online portal “NJ.com” asked which cabinet member Trump paid most homage and referred to the tweet of political scientist Norman Jay Ornstein. He wrote on X, Minister of Agriculture Rollins deserved gold for her cat hump.
