Selenskyj: Russia violates Easter ceasefire almost 3,000 times

The fire break arranged by Moscow over Easter has ended. The Ukrainian President takes stock and made serious allegations against Russia.

After the Easter Waffenruhe ordered by Moscow in the Ukraine War, the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj Russia accused 2,935 violations of the fire break during the day. Most of the attacks by the Russian armed forces had directed Pokrowsk in the Donetsk area, Selenskyj reported on the X.

The ceasefire was therefore not considered the Kursk area close to the border. There were a total of 96 Russian attacks on the entire front line. In 1,882 cases, fire was reported to Ukrainian positions. In addition, there were over 950 missions with drones, Selenskyj said, referring to information from the Ukrainian commander -in -chief Olexander Syrkyj.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin announced a 30-hour ceasefire on Saturday, which ended at midnight Moscow time (11:00 p.m. CEST on Sunday).

“Tees speak louder and louder than words”

The Ukrainian President again complained that Moscow had not complied with a Ukrainian demand for a 30-day break after Easter. Moscow did not even react to another proposal for Selenskyjs, for at least 30 days of attacks with drones, marching air bodies and rockets on civilian objects.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskow had told the state Russian news agency TASS that Putin had not given a command for an extension of the fire break. Selenskyj then proposed at least limited ceasefire in the air.

Now the Ukrainian President announced that the measures of his country would remain symmetrical: “Waffen rest is answered with ceasefire, and Russian attacks are answered with our own for defense,” said Selenskyj. “Acts speak louder and louder than words.”
