Chat affair: Media: Hegseth shared military plans about signal with wife

The “New York Times”, citing several people familiar with the matter, reported that the politician had spread detailed information about attacks in Yemen in mid -March. The wife therefore does not work in the Ministry of Defense.

The US broadcaster CNN also reported on insiders about the second group chat. Hegseth’s brother and his personal lawyer are said to have been chat members – both have jobs in the Pentagon, according to the media reports.

Connection to the earlier chat affair

The case follows the affair about a secret group chat of high -ranking government members. At the end of March, the US magazine “The Atlantic” made the content of the chat publicly after his editor -in -chief – probably accidentally – had been invited to the Signal Group by the national security consultant Mike Waltz.
