Harvard defends himself against the US government

The Elite University Harvard rejects the US government’s far-reaching demands. President Trump then had billions of funding freezing. But the university continues to fight.

The Elite University Harvard is on trial in a dispute with the US government. The lawsuit aims to solve the blockade of billions of billions. The procedure of the government of President Donald Trump violates the freedom of expression stipulated in the first additional article on the US constitution, Harvard argues, among other things.

Harvard refused to implement a change of course required by Trump, which concerns the approval of students, compliance with rules of conduct and hiring of university staff. The far -reaching demands were justified in an official letter with supposedly inadequate measures against anti -Semitism. Harvard President Alan Garber criticized that the government wanted to “control, who we do and what we teach”.

Hardvard rejected Trump claims

According to media reports, Harvard managed by authorities said that the official letter with the claims on April 11th had been sent without an arrangement. However, there was no departure from the position. After the university had rejected the demands, the government put funding money on hold at a billion dollar height. Finally, Trump threatened that Harvard could lose his tax breaks and be taxed like a political institution. It has accused the university a left -wing ideology for a long time.

Harvard sued, among others, against Health Minister Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Minister of Education Linda McMahon and Defense Minister Pete Hegseth – but did not take Trump on the list.
