Entry to the SPD? Wissing gives Klingbeil a cancellation








With the FDP, Volker Wissing broke after the traffic light. However, the outgoing minister is not open to entry to the SPD – at least at the moment.

Former FDP politician and executive Federal Minister of Transport Volker Wissing does not “currently” enter the SPD. A spokeswoman Wissings informed the “Tagesspiegel”. SPD leader Lars Klingbeil had now offered the non-party politician to become a member of the Social Democrats. Wissing has always shown that he was “a classic social liberal”.

He appreciates Wissing very much, said Klingbeil in an interview with the Funke media group. If Wissing “has an interest in getting to the SPD at some point, a door is always open for him”.

Volker Wissing left the FDP after the traffic light.

“Mr. Wissing was happy about the appreciative words of Lars Klingbeil and also shared it,” said the spokeswoman for the outgoing minister – nevertheless it remains with a cancellation.

After the book of the traffic light coalition, Wissing had left the FDP to stay in the government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD). He accuses the FDP leadership around party leader Christian Lindner that he has brought about the traffic light break.
