In several surveys of large media houses, the Republican achieved poor values ​​after about three months. In a survey on behalf of the television station ABC and the “Washington Post”, for example, 39 percent of those surveyed were satisfied with the previous work of the US President, but 55 percent were dissatisfied. In a survey on behalf of the broadcaster CNN, Trump came up with an approval value of 41 percent, while 59 percent of the respondents were dissatisfied.

These have been the worst values ​​of a US president for the 100-day mark for decades, wrote ABC and CNN. Trump was sworn in as President on January 20 – for a second term. He is in office 100 days this Tuesday.

Trump criticizes negative surveys sharply

A survey on behalf of the “New York Times” determined similar values: an approval of 42 percent for Trump’s work as president and 54 percent rejection. These regular surveys ask whether the citizens support or disapproved the way the president exerts his office.

Trump sharply criticized the negative surveys. On the Truth Social online platform, he described the results as “fake” and the authors as “criminal”. The media houses are “sick” and wrote almost only negative articles about him. The 78-year-old wrote: “Against these people should be investigated for election fraud.” In fact, Trump himself had been charged with election fraud before taking office – because of his attempts to subsequently overturn his election defeat in 2020 against the Democrat Joe Biden. Ultimately, there was no trial due to Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.
