According to the local authorities, almost 50 people were injured in a large -scale Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Charkiw. Among them is an eleven -year -old child, the regional military administrator Oleh Synjehubow and Mayor Ihor Terechow said on Telegram late Friday evening.

According to initial knowledge, twelve locations were hit in four districts of the city and several fires were triggered, as Terechow wrote in the first few hours after the strokes. According to Synjehubow, residential buildings, civilian infrastructure and cars were damaged. The information could initially not be checked independently.

President Selenskyj reacts outraged

“There were and no military goals. Russia attacks residential areas when the Ukrainians are at home when they put their children to bed,” said Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj on social media. “While the world is hesitating with decisions, almost every night turns into a nightmare in Ukraine that costs human lives.” Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invaders for more than three years.

Air alarm was also triggered elsewhere in Ukraine, including in the capital Kiev. In Kupjansk, a person was killed in Russian air strikes who destroyed several houses. The man’s body was recovered from the rubble of a house, as the investigative authorities said. Possibly another dead man is among the ruins.

Russian air strikes were also reported from Sumy. Two people were injured when two steering bombs were hit, the investigators said.

Russian governor: injured in attack on the port city

Meanwhile, the governor of the Russian area of ​​Krasnodar, Wenjamin Kondratjew, reported Ukrainian drone attacks on the Black Sea coast of his country. The port city of Noworossijsk in particular was hit, he wrote on Telegram. There are damage to three apartment blocks. According to preliminary knowledge, two adults and two children were injured.
