US President Donald Trump does not shy away from provocation. He joked a few days ago that he would like to become a Pope, he now underpins this – a few days before the conclave.
A week after his participation in the burial of Pope Francis, US President Donald Trump has spread an obviously generated picture of himself in Pope clothing on social media. He wears the white soutane, in which the Catholic head of the church usually shows, a golden long chain with a cross around his neck and an opulently decorated mivora as a headgear. Trump is depicted in the picture, which he published on his profile in the Truth network and which was also spread over the official account of the White House at X, on a kind of throne armchair in gold and red and stretches the index finger of the right hand. The serious look goes past the viewer of the picture.
A few days ago, Trump said in a joke that he would like to be a Pope. “That would be my first choice.” He had been asked in the White House of Reporters who he would like to see as the next Pope at the upcoming conclave. Then the 78-year-old pushed: “No, I don’t know. I have no preference.” After the death of Pope Francis, the Catholic Church stands in front of it to determine a new head. The conclave of the cardinals entitled to vote begins next Wednesday.
Trump does not shy away from provocation. In February, he had spread a AI video via social media that shows its vision of the future for the Gaza Strip-with dazzling skyscrapers, yachts, exuberant beach scenes and a golden trump statue.
