In the event of an anti-terrorist insert, five men were arrested in England. According to police, at least four of them are Iranians.
In the course of an anti-terrorist insert, five men were arrested in England. They would be suspected of preparing a terrorist act, the Metropolitan Police (Met) in London said at night. At least four of the men between the ages of 29 and 46, Iranian citizenship, in the event of a nationality, would still be determined. The men were in police custody.
The investigation would be related to a alleged conspiracy that aimed at a certain property, the Met further announced. The officials are in contact with the affected place to inform and give advice and support. Further information could currently not be given for surgical reasons.
The suspects in the cities of London, Swindon, Stockport, Rochdale and Manchester were arrested, it said.
