Donald Trump “does not” “know” if he has to stick to the constitution

Donald Trump and the US constitution are, one would like to believe, at best fleeting acquaintances. At least the US President does not necessarily feel bound to the American constitution. When asked if he believes that he must adhere to the US constitution, the republicaber said in an interview by the broadcaster NBC: “I don’t know.”

There is legal resistance to countless decisions from the first three months of his second term – especially against his migration policy. A federal judge has ordered that the Trump government has to bring the man back. In the meantime, the case ended up with the Supreme Court of the United States. Since then there has been legal tits about what should continue. So far, the US government does not make any institutions to bring the man back to the United States. Trump also evaded in the NBC interview.

In the event, the US Justice Minister Pam Bondi was responsible, said the President. He himself could demand the return of the man if Bondi think this is legal. But the decision as to whether the man will come back is the President of El Salvador.

Regarding the speculation that Trump is aiming for a third term in contradiction to the constitution, he said that he “didn’t really plan to do this”. “I plan to have four great years and hand over to someone – ideally a great Republican, a great Republican who can continue.”
