Donald Trump has announced tariffs of a hundred percent on films produced outside of the USA. The US President named the weakening domestic film industry on his online platform Truth on Sunday. He therefore authorizes the US Ministry of Trade and the trade officer “immediately starting all films with the introduction of a 100 % customs that come to our country and are produced abroad,” wrote Trump.
“The American film industry dies very quickly,” said the US President. The film industry in Hollywood and elsewhere in the country is “destroyed” due to the trend of US filmmakers and studios, working abroad. In the course of the customs surcharge, he spoke of a “threat to national security”, but initially gave no details about the conditions of such a step.
Donald Trump first lowered tariffs
