While the Union announced its posts, the question arose which comrades the SPD would send into the race. Admittedly, the party made it exciting. But as is mostly the case, she couldn’t keep close to the end. First of all, sipped that the previous party leader Lars Klingbeil as the new finance minister is traded. Now further candidates followed:

Hubertus Heil waived on the chair at the SPD and will no longer fill in a ministerial post, it has been clear since yesterday. The only question left is on how to proceed for Saskia Esken. The Social Democrats hardly lose a word about the much criticized co-party leader-at least to the outside world. Internally, the politician is probably not particularly impressed. The SPD general secretary in Baden-Württemberg, Sascha Binder, recently explained, are not one of the four best SPD women.

Eask is currently only experiencing backing Lars Klingbeil. He described the debate about them as “shameful”. “This is a style that I don’t like in the SPD at all, where I always fought for that it doesn’t exist,” said Klingbeil of the “Bild am Sonntag” and added: “I do not think that in 2025 men judge what they can or not.”

Maybe we experience and Saskia Esken still a miracle today. Because it is also speculated whether Esken could not become a development minister. If this is not the case, she could apply again for the party chair. However, the comrades will only vote on this post in June. So Esken remains a grace period.

Admittedly, I’m not a fan, but when it comes to the German champion in the Bundesliga, I am also curious about the sports reports. Unsurprisingly, FC Bayern has now won – without having played themselves. (Small hint, if you are also only sporadically interested in football: Bayer Leverkusen Bundesliga best.) The season is not yet over, but Bavaria is no longer in the top of the table.
