According to a media report, the former Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner ran over a dog in an accident in Berlin, who died a little later. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the misfortune occurred not too long ago in the parking lot of an Italian restaurant because the Norfolk Terrier was not leash and thus got under the wheels of the vehicle that was controlled by Lindner. Accordingly, the animal belonged to the film producer and former managing director of UFA, Wolf Bauer.
Christian Lindner initiated first aid measures
Eyewitnesses took protection against the newspaper. Behind the wheel of a minis, the FDP boss could not see the little dog well and paid more attention to the surrounding people, said the tenor. The 46-year-old had visibly affected and acted responsibly and courageously. He initiated first aid measures and tried to provide medical care. Nevertheless, all help came too late for the dog.
Lindner reacted to the death: “I did not know that the dog had died in the meantime,” he now told the “Bild” newspaper. “The dog owner and I have not exchanged contact details, it didn’t imagine me. I am very sorry that the dog died.” Wolf Bauer did not want to comment on the leaf.
