Pakistan wants to have destroyed Indian air defense system – India strikes back

The conflict between the nuclear powers India and Pakistan continues to escalate. Both sides talk about military attacks and counter attacks – and partly contradict each other.

In the tightened conflict with Pakistan, India’s military flew attacks on several military facilities and justified this in response to several attacks from the neighboring country. In the targeted attacks, precision weapons from Indian fighter jets were fired, an army spokeswoman said in Neu-Delhi.

The goals were, among other things, command and control centers, radar systems and arms warehouse. The Indian side did not provide any information on the extent of possible damage.

Pakistan flies attacks on Indian goals

India’s military confirmed the previously given information from the Pakistani government that there were Indian rocket attacks. Islamabad had said at night that attacks on three military bases in the province of Punjab had been warded off without damage.

The “Operation Bunjan” against India then began its own military. According to Pakistani state media, several military goals were hit and destroyed. The information from both countries could initially not be checked independently.

Air defense system destroyed in India?

India’s military, according to its own statements, reacted with the latest air strikes to Pakistani military actions in the past nights along the western border, in which lower drones and artillery shooters had been used. Pakistan accused of having targeted civilian areas in addition to military facilities on Indian soil.

According to the Pakistani military, it has destroyed an air defense system in India with hyperschallrakets. The attack was in the city of Adampur in the Indian state of Punjab, it said in a message from the armed forces. The information could not be verified. According to the Indian media, the military even expressly denied the Pakistan representation. The claim that an S-400 Air Protection system in Adampur has been destroyed does not apply, the newspaper “The Indian Express” quoted a military representative.

Between the two sides, there were recently repeatedly violent firefights along the military control line in the Himalayar region Kashmir, in which both countries manage a part. The two nuclear powers each claim the entire region for themselves.
