Modi: Use against terrorism in Pakistan only exposed
The two nuclear powers India and Pakistan agreed a ceasefire after fighting. But the situation is further tense – this also underlines a speech by the Indian head of government.
According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has only exposed his military approach to goals in the neighboring country after the recent armed clashes with Pakistan. Future military actions hung from Pakistan’s behavior, Modi said in his first public speech since the beginning of the fighting between the two nuclear powers. At the same time, he warned that his country would not tolerate “nuclear extortion”. India only wants to talk to the neighbor about terrorism and the Pakistanically controlled part of the Kashmir region. Like Pakistan, India claims the entire region for itself, which is therefore a central subject between the two sides.
High -ranking military representatives of both countries had discussed the implementation of the ceasefire agreed two days earlier on Monday, reported the state Indian broadcaster All India Radio. Among other things, they would have agreed to consider reducing troops in the border regions. Further details were initially not known.
In the evening, according to media reports, the re -view of alleged drones from Pakistan in the Indian Union territory Jammu and Kashmir briefly triggered unrest. The air defense was activated. It was a small number of drones. There was no reason for larger alarm, the Indian news agency Ani Military.
India wants to have destroyed nine “terrorist camps”

According to President Donald Trump, the US government put pressure on the nuclear powers of India and Pakistan to move them into a ceasefire. “I think it could have been a bad nuclear war. Millions of people could have been killed. That’s why I’m very proud of it,” said Trump in the White House.
Trump said he explained both sides: “If you stop it, let’s do a trade. If you don’t stop, we won’t trade.”
