Trump’s fairytale trip – the situation in the morning
The US President travels to the sheikh, Germany loves the SPD and a historical me-too process ends in France. What else is important today.

First Saudi Arabia, then Qatar And finally the United Arab Emirates: It is Trump’s first big trip abroad in his new term and she falls into a time of war and crises in the region. But it should be less about these inconvenience. The tour on the Arabian Peninsula is purely business. Economic contracts are expected in billions of bills and a lot of pomp.
Trump visiting his friends in Middle East
The trip of the US President to Riad and Co. could be described as a visit to good friends. The White House strictly rejects Trump’s personal interests in the golf region. You should question that. The 78-year-old’s economic relationships to the region are decades old.
In 2001, for example, Trump sold the entire 45th floor of his Trump Tower in New York to Saudi Arabia. Shortly before his visit, the Trump organization announced the first Trump Hotel in Dubai and a golf club in Qatar. And a Trump cloud scratch is to be built in the Saudi port city of Dschidda. The list could continue. After the murder and dismemberment of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi 2018, which Mohammed bin Salman presumably ordered, Trump was the only one in the western world to be the crown prince.
Now the US President can expect to be received with open arms. There was a foretaste of it before the trip: Qatar gave the US President a luxury jet. Trump didn’t say no. On the criticism that it is bribery or at least “First -class foreign influence with additional legroom” (Democrat Chuck Schumer) acted personally, he personally did not even enter into. The White House was in a hurry that the matter was regulated. Flattering is just (justified) criticism.
The trip will be full of the US president. He will probably make a bow after geopolitics. For Trump it says: deals, deals, deals – probably without uncomfortable questions – truly fairytale!
The only thing the man from the White House, which is hungry after success and fame, will not miss the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. If successes in Istanbul are listed in the talks, then he would travel immediately, Trump announced – full of schedule or not.
Germany loves the SPD
The new government, one might think, has plunged the SPD into chaos. Career jumps and ends such as those of Lars Klingbeil and Saskia Esken cause trouble. However, the party’s internal quarrels did not harm. At least one of this indicates this on behalf of the “Picture” there. The most popular politicians are SPDler: Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is at the top. Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil follows in second place. The social democratic leadership is interrupted by Hendrik Wüst (CDU) and Markus Söder (CSU). Fifth place with Bärbel Bas a SPDler woman again.
Perhaps the party’s survey will help from her mood low.
In any case, if you shouldn’t help, Chancellor Friedrich Merz is. It fell down a few places and crayens just before the AfD and between the Greens. Merz’s term has so far been a pitch streak: distrust in the coalition from the start, a removal when visiting Poland, the question of dealing with the AfD. You can only wish him that it will get better soon. Nevertheless, there is a little good news: the Chancellor convinces the Germans as a diplomat. Almost 60 percent believe that he represents Germany well abroad. You want to call: Keep it up!
Depardieus women’s problem
A misunderstood genius is in court in Paris. At least the French acting star Gérard Depardieu feels like that. He loves women, he said in March on the last day of the tribunal de Paris. Just stupid that women don’t like him. And presumably for reasons:
In the process, two women accuse him of sexually harassing them. Pressed, groped and spoken to the wall, he is said to have a stage designer. A director’s assistant reported something similar.
