Gaza War: Israel attacks further hospital in Gaza – eleven deaths

For the second time within one day, the Israeli army attacked a hospital in Chan Junis in southern Gaza Strip. According to the hospital, at least eleven people were killed. The Israeli army wrote that it was a “precise attack on Hamas terrorists in a command and control center”. This is in an underground structure under the European Hospital in Chan Junis. The information could not be checked independently.

According to unconfirmed Israeli media reports, Mohammed al-Sinwar attacked. He is the younger brother of the Hamas boss Jihia al-Sinwar killed last year and is considered a new strong man in the Islamist militia. From the Palestinian side, there was initially no information about the identity of the killed and the question of whether Al-Sinwar was among them. Al-Sinwar has been the new head of the armed Hamas arm, the Kassam brigades last year since the Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif was killing.

Eyewitnesses reported a very tense atmosphere on site after particularly difficult attacks by Israel. According to the health authority controlled by the Hamas, more than 40 people were injured in the attack on the hospital.

At night, the army had attacked the Nasser Hospital in Chan Junis and also spoke of an attack on Hamas terrorists. According to the Palestinian information, three people were killed.

The army accused Hamas of abusing hospitals in the Gaza Strip for terrorist purposes. The UN Nothilfebüro Ocha condemned the attack on the Nasser Clinic as unacceptable.
