Putin pointed out to Biden the destructive line of Kiev on the Minsk agreements

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in talks with his American counterpart Joe Biden, noted Kiev’s destructive line on the Minsk agreements. This was announced on Saturday, February 12, by the assistant to the Russian president, Yuri Ushakov.

“In no less detail, Putin highlighted the destructive line of the Ukrainian authorities to sabotage the Minsk agreements. There is no proper pressure on the part of the West for Kiev to fulfill its obligations. The President drew attention to the militarization of Ukraine. In general, the presidents agreed that the views expressed by Biden will be carefully considered in Moscow and will be taken into account in the reaction, which will be brought to the public, ”Ushakov said.

He also stressed that Washington is fanning hysteria around Russia’s allegedly planned “invasion” of Ukraine and at the same time pumping Kiev with weapons. In general, Ushakov described the conversation as business-like. According to him, the head of the White House emphasized that “everything possible must be done to exclude the worst scenario around Ukraine,” and suggested several ways to do this.

The White House emphasized that during the conversation, Biden said: the United States is ready for any scenario around Ukraine and is aimed at diplomacy with Russia. In addition, the American president indicated that the Russian Federation would face tangible consequences if it “attacked Ukraine.”

The conversation between the leaders of the two countries lasted more than an hour via a secure connection. It ended at 12:06 US East Coast time (20:06 Moscow time).
