What does Christian Lindner actually do? The Federal Minister a. D. has now officially made that he will soon be missing as a freelance speaker and author.
The former finance minister and outgoing FDP chairman Christian Lindner has green light for a new job. In an announcement in the Federal Gazette it states that Lindner reported to the Federal Government according to § 6a of the Federal Minister Act of wanting to work as a freelance speaker and author on various occasions.
Following the recommendation of the advisory committee, the Federal Government decided that there is “no concerns about the admission of these activities”.
Christian Lindner is supposed to classify “global developments”
“Mr. Lindner has accepted invitations in particular from international congresses to classify global developments. This was reported to the Federal Government,” said a spokesman for the German Press Agency. Lindner will therefore appear in Vienna, Sofia and Zurich. Lindner made further professional decisions at a later date.
According to the law, members of the Federal Government must report employment within the first 18 months after they left the office in writing. The Federal Government can “prohibit it in whole or in part for the time of the first 18 months, insofar as it is to be obtained that public interests are affected by employment”.
After the missed re -enactment of his party to the Bundestag, Lindner had declared to withdraw from the office of federal chairman. A new FDP top is to be elected in Berlin at a federal party conference this week in Berlin.
