The co-founder of the Eis cream brand Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen, has been paid in handcuffs from the US Congress. He had interrupted a session with a protest. He has a clear demand.
The co-founder of the Eis cream brand Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen, was arrested in a protest against the Gaza War in the US Congress. The 74-year-old had interrupted and called a session with others with Health Minister Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: “The congress pays for bombs to kill children in Gaza”, as can be seen and heard on a video published by the “New York Times”.
Other demonstrators held up posters. On a video that he himself posted on the X platform, you can see how Cohen is dissipated in the corridors of the congress. Already in handcuffs he repeats the accusation. He demanded that the congress had to be committed to being delivered again in the Gaza Strip.
Cohen had founded the ice cream brand together with Jerry Greenfield. Both are Jews and, according to the “New York Times”, have already criticized Israel’s politics several times.
