Trump does not travel to Ukraine meeting because of the birth of grandchildren
Until the end, the US President had kept open to continue to fly from his Middle East trip directly to the Ukraine talks in Turkey. But nothing becomes of it.
According to US President Donald Trump, he does not want to travel from his Middle East visit to the Ukraine talks to Turkey. Trump said at an event in the United Arab Emirates that his daughter Tiffany had just given birth to a baby and he wanted to see his grandson as quickly as possible. He is therefore looking forward to returning directly to Washington. “I should probably have left last night,” he said. But he didn’t want to disappoint his hosts in Abu Dhabi.
Trump had previously explicitly kept open to fly from the golf region to the talks in Turkey to fly over ways to end the Russian war against Ukraine. He argued that there would be no real movement in the peace efforts until he personally sides with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin.
When asked when he is planning to meet Putin, Trump said: “As soon as we can start.” The 78-year-old emphasized that he wanted to end killing the war and said: “We’ll be able to do it.”
