Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians suffer great hardship. Aid goods are available, but apparently not yet arrived among people. Meanwhile, Netanyahu is making plans for the future of Gazas.
While hundreds of thousands of needy people in the Gaza Strip continue to wait for life -saving help, Israel continues his massive attacks there. After the end of the current major offensive, “the entire Gaza territory will be under Israeli security control,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Islamist Hamas “will be completely destroyed,” he said in Jerusalem. Meanwhile, his government had another small amount of help in the sealed area.
100 trucks with relief goods such as flour, baby food and medical equipment were brought into the coastal strip via the Kerem Schalom border crossing, the responsible Israeli authority Cogat said to X. 93 trucks arrived on Tuesday. So far, however, no truck has been able to deliver help to people. According to previous UN information, around 500 truck loads would be necessary every day to guarantee the supply of the approximately two million Palestinians in Gaza.
Doctor in Gaza: “It’s really barbaric.”
Israel had blocked all aid deliveries since the beginning of March. This should increase the pressure on Islamist Hamas, with which Israel has been at war since the massacre of October 7, 2023. According to Israeli reading, Hamas steals relief goods and sells them on the black market to finance their fighters and weapons. The UN, on the other hand, keep that Israel has not presented any evidence of this. At the beginning of the week, Israel had also agreed from allies to allow aid transport to Gaza again.
According to Israel, Israel wants to prevent a famine in the large -scale coastal area, where after more than one and a half years of war, people lack almost everything. In the still functional hospitals, there is a lack of scalpellae, as the British surgeon Victoria Rose said in the “Today Journal” of ZDF. Anesthetics were also missing: “If we operate, other doctors record these patients.” Many could not be stunned, said the doctor. “It’s really barbaric.”
Israel plans “sterile zone” for humanitarian aid
In the course of a planned reorganization of humanitarian aid, Israel will set up a “sterile zone” in southern Gazas, as Netanyahu announced. “In this zone, which will be completely free of Hamas, the residents of Gaza will receive extensive humanitarian aid,” he said. US security companies would set up and operate distribution centers inside the coastal area. This should happen in the coming days. In the future, Israel wants to deal with aid organizations of the United Nations. The UN and other organizations reject the plans to reorganize the help.
Netanyahu: Trump’s resettlement plan condition for the end of the war
Critics also accuse the Netanyahu government to further restrict the area in which the residents of Gaza can still live. He was ready to end the war, said Netanyahu and named his conditions for it: “All hostages will return home. Hamas will put down its weapons, the power will give up, its leadership (whoever remains) is banished from the Gaza strip, the Gaza strip is completely dismounted, and we will implement the Trump plan,” said Netanyahu.
This plan of US President Donald Trump is “so revolutionary” and states that “the residents of Gaza who want to go will be able to go,” said Netanyahu and added. “If you ask us to hire the fights before these goals have been achieved, de facto demands that Hamas stay in power”. Trump had said in February that the USA could take over Gaza, rebuild and transform it into a “Riviera of the Middle East”. The residents of the Gaza Strip would have to be resettled. According to experts, a forced relocation would violate international law.
Reports of dozens of deaths
Meanwhile, the Israeli military called for the residents of several residential areas in the north of the sealed coastal strip to leave their dwellings. An attack on these areas, from which Hamas Israel is shooting, is imminent, it said. In the past few days, dozens of deaths have been reported in the course of the recently launched new major offensive in the Israeli army. More than 60 people have been killed since last night alone, said the civil protection controlled by Hamas. The information was not independent.
