Two superlatives in the Ukraine War: Russia carried out the largest air raid at all-and the warring parties have completed the greatest prisoner exchange.
According to Ukrainian information, twelve people have been killed and dozens were injured in the largest air raid in Russia since the beginning of the war. Three of the fatalities are children in the North Ukrainian region of Schytomyr, reported local authorities.
There were also four deaths in the Kiev area. Eleven people were injured in the capital itself.
Damage was reported from various other cities. The Air Force had previously reported that Russia had attacked a total of 367 drones and rockets during the night.
As a result, as many floors were used in the latest attack than ever before in a Russian air raid on Ukraine. However, there have already been attacks in which more people were killed.
Ukraine: Russia’s attack “terrorist”
At the same time, the Russian government reports that drones coming from Ukraine on Russia had been harmless on the night. 13 of them were intercepted above the Moscow area and the TWER region adjacent to the capital, the Ministry of Defense said. At first there was no information about victims. The Ministry also left open how many drones attacked Ukraine as a whole.
Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj calls the large -scale Russian air raid “terroristically” and asks the United States to comment on it. “The silence of America and other countries (Russia’s President Vladimir) only encourages Putin,” he writes on Telegram and adds: “Every terrorist Russian attack is reason enough for new sanctions against Russia.”
At the same time prisoner exchange
In the middle of the reports on the extensive air raids, Russia and Ukraine have completed their greatest prisoner exchange so far and released another 303 people. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow and the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj.
In total, an exchange of a total of 1,000 prisoners between Moscow and Kyiv had been agreed. The agreement was made on May 16 in talks in Istanbul.
