Green youth: Green Youth boss for “ACAB” sweater: Not the right way

After criticism of an Instagram contribution, the chairwoman of the Green Youth, Jette Nietzard, rowed something back-but remains with her police criticism. “I don’t think that was the right way to draw attention to the problems,” she said in the “Stern” podcast “5-minute talk”.

Nietzard had shown himself in an Instagram story on a selfie with a sweatshirt with the letters “ACAB”. The acronym “ACAB” stands for “all cops are bastards” (German: all police officers are bastards) and is used in police -critical circles – including in the left to left -wing extremist milieu.

“Obtain this sweater as a private individual”

Nietzard said about the sweater: “I own this sweater as a private individual, as a private individual I posted an Instagram story. Nietzard had been criticized for the story, and leading Greens went at a distance. In turn, the boss of the green youth organization criticized the party leadership not to be direct enough. “I would also like the Greens to address the police and especially the structural things that are accompanied by it, especially after Lorenz’s death.”

A policeman had shot five times in the direction of a young man named Lorenz on the night of Easter Sunday. Several shots met the young Germans, he died of the injuries. As is customary in such a case, the 27-year-old police officer is determined for manslaughter. Activists fear that the shots on the blacks have a structural racist background.
