In Trump’s government, Elon Musk took care of the controversial efficiency authority “Doge”. Now the Tesla boss officially declared his withdrawal. The reason for this was already known.
The tech billionaire Elon Musk announced the end of his work for the US government. His planned time as a “special government employee” is coming to an end that he will give up his post in the government of President Donald Trump, Musk said on Wednesday in online service X with a view to his work at the government department for state efficiency (Doge) created by Trump. He wanted to “thank Trump for the opportunity to reduce unnecessary expenses,” he added.
Regardless of his withdrawal, Musk emphasized the importance of Doge. The department of the department shapes the government as a “way of life”.
Musk’s company Tesla reported significant sales declines and burglaries in April. Accordingly, the world’s worldwide sales of the US electric car manufacturer declined by 13 percent in the first quarter. Musk then announced that it would restrict his work at Doge in order to be able to take care of his electric car companies again.
Elon Musk attracted a lot of criticism
There were also massive problems with Musk’s online service X recently. Most recently, the ninth test flight of the giant rocket Starship of the SpaceX space company founded by Musk also failed on Tuesday.
In Europe and especially in Germany, Musk attracted a lot of criticism for his support for right -wing political forces. The entrepreneur had supported the extremely right AfD in the Bundestag election campaign.
Since the re-entry of US President Trump into the White House in January, the Tech billionaire has been the driving force behind the so-called government department for state efficiency (Doge), which is supposed to drive the massive cost and personnel loss in the US state apparatus.
