US proposal for gaza custody rest awakens slight hope

The United States has presented Israel and Hamas a new proposal for a 60-day break. The humanitarian location in the Gaza Strip is dramatic – as the storm points to a UN warehouse.

According to Israeli media reports, the US specialist Steve Witkoff has submitted a new proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza War. According to this, ten hostages recorded in the Gaza Strip should be released in two steps within a week, it said in several reports. In addition, the corpses of 18 deported should be handed over.

In return, 125 Palestinians, who were sentenced to life in prison, were to come, as well as 1,111 Gaza residents who had been arrested since the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023. The corpses of 180 Palestinians should also be handed over.

According to reports, discussions are to be held over an end to the Gaza War during the two-month ceasefire. In the event of an agreement between Israel and Islamist Hamas, the remaining hostages and the remains of deported people should be handed over.

Aid deliveries again via UN and troop deduction

The proposal also provides that the aid deliveries in the Gaza Strip are again adopted by the United Nations and the International Aid Organizations. The Israeli army should withdraw to the positions before the start of the youngest offensive in March, as it was said.

According to Israeli information, there are currently at least 20 living hostages in the Gaza Strip. With three other kidnapped people, it is unclear whether they are still alive. In addition, the remains of 35 abducted areas are located in the sealed area with countless underground tunnel systems.

Witkoff had optimistic about a possible ceasefire in the Gaza War on Wednesday in the White House. He has “very good feelings” about a fire break and a long -term peaceful solution to the conflict, he said to journalists.

Dead at Sturm on UN food warehouse in Gaza

The location in the competitive Gaza strip is still dramatic. According to the UN organization, at least two people were killed in a tumultuous storm on a large warehouse of the World Food Program (WFP) in the center of the sealed coastal area, and many more were injured. “Hordes of hungry people” entered the warehouse in order to get “foods provided for”, it said. From medical circles in the Al-Aksa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah it was said that two people were crushed, two more were killed by shots.

Controversial foundation rejects reports

Israel had blocked all aid deliveries in March and shortly afterwards the attacks in the Gaza Strip resumed. This should increase the pressure on the terrorist organization to relieve the remaining hostages. Israel claimed that there was no lack of relief goods. The government accuses Hamas to steal them to make money with what the organization denies. The UN also say that Israel has not presented any evidence of this.

Israel had recently loosened the blockade a bit. Nevertheless, many people in the coastal strip are in a desperate location – there is a lack of food, drinking water, medication and many other things of daily needs. In the past few days there have been reports of looting and a storm on a new distribution center, which is operated by the controversial Gaza Humanitrian Foundation (GHF).

However, the foundation rejected reports on dead, mass injuries and chaos to the distribution centers it set up. There have been no location for the GHF. “Reports that say other things come from Hamas and are wrong,” it said.

So far, 17,280 food packages have been distributed at three distribution centers opened so far, the GHF said. This corresponds to more than 1.8 million meals. According to Palestinian information, the third GHF distribution center opened south of the so-called Netzarim corridor. In a first step, four locations were planned. According to GHF, however, the construction of further distribution centers is planned in the coming weeks.

UN and Israel blame each other

According to the will of the Israeli government, the foundation should in future be responsible for the distribution of relief goods. Aid organizations of the UN and other international initiatives are to be avoided.

The UN-NOTILFBUTHER accidents sharp criticism and spoke of a “militarized distribution system” that endangers people and does not do justice to their needs. Help should “not be used as a weapon”.

Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon, in turn, accused the UN “extortion and threats” against humanitarian organizations who worked with the GHF. “This is mafia -like behavior and a blatant violation of the basic principles of the UN,” wrote Danon on X.

Location in Gaza “more dark than ever”

Since the beginning of the Gaza War in October 2023, the emergency of the approximately two million people in the densely populated coastal area has drastically intensified. After 600 days, the humanitarian situation is “so dark as ever”, stated the UN-NOTILFBERO.

“The civilians in Gaza have lost hope,” said the UN coordinator for humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip, Sigrid Kaag, the UN Security Council in New York. The Palestinians in Gaza now “see you” instead of “goodbye”. Death is a constant companion for the civilians, not hope. The US surgeon Feroze Sidhwa cited knowledge of the organization “War Child Alliance” before the mighty UN committee, according to which every second child in Gaza is at risk.

Dozens of deaths in new attacks in the Gaza Strip

According to a media report, at least 23 people were killed in an Israeli air raid in the central section of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that a building was hit in the refugee district of Al-Bureidsch. Overall, dozens of people have been killed in various attacks in the coastal strip since dawn.

Since the beginning of the Gaza War more than a year and a half ago, according to the health authority controlled by the Hamas, more than 54,200 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip. A third of them are minors. The war was triggered by the attack by Hamas and other Islamist terrorists to Israel on October 7, 2023, in which around 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 were delayed as hostages into the Gaza strips.
