One of President Trump’s main concerns is: deportation of migrants. In the United States, this leads to various legal dispute – in one, the government can now have a success for the time being.
The Supreme Court initially allows the government of US President Donald Trump to enforce their restrictive migration policy. The Supreme Court gave a government application to suspend a low authority, whereby the judges Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, who were considered liberal, were contradicting.
In mid-April, a federal court in the US state of Massachusett had blocked the government’s project to end a humanitarian program from the term of the term of Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden. According to the Trump government, the program enables more than 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela a temporary stay in the USA.
Final decision is still pending
The US government argued that the lower instance was not authorized to deprive the executive of decision-making about foreign policy and migration. A final decision in the matter is still pending.
Under Trump, the government is increasingly focusing on deportations. Deportations in third countries, i.e. far from the home of migrants, also caused a stir.
