International aid organizations accuse Israel of having committed a massacre among Palestinians who were waiting for relief goods. Israel rejects this. And is outraged by the UN Secretary General’s statements.
The dispute between the United Nations and Israel is heading. The spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oren Marblestein, described a statement by UN Secretary-General António Guterres as “shame” on the platform X and asked whether it was really important to help people in Gaza-or whether they focus on supporting Hamas and their war machinery.
Previously, UN General Secretary António Guterres had asked for an immediate and independent examination of incidents in the Gaza Strip, in which the Israeli army is said to have attacked and killed Palestinian civilians near an issue of food.
On Sunday, the Red Cross and the Organization Doctors without borders announced that a total of 30 people had been killed in Israeli attacks. The Israeli army denied this information. A preliminary investigation showed that the military did not shot civilians while they were near or within the food distribution center.
Guterres wrote on X that he was horrified by the reports that people were killed or injured on Sunday in search of help. “It is unacceptable that Palestinians have to risk their lives for food.” According to humanitarian international law, Israel had the clear obligation to allow and facilitate humanitarian aid.
Marmorstein replied to Guterres with the words: “What a shame.” The word Hamas does not even appear in the entire communication of the UN Secretary General. “Not a word that it is Hamas who shoots civilians and tries to prevent them from maintaining relief goods.” Gutrees do not mention that Hamas had rejected another ceasefire proposal and the release of the hostages. “The actual investigation that needs to be carried out is why the and continue to oppose every attempt to help people in Gaza directly.”
Israel prevents the distribution of food from the UN or international aid organizations. Instead, it built its own output offices in the desert region on the border with Egypt, where small amounts of food are spent by the specially founded Gaza Humanitrian Foundation (GHF). In order to achieve the output points, the residents of Gazas have to walk several dozen kilometers on foot. The UN accuse Israel to prepare the displacement of the Palestinians from Gaza announced by Prime Minister Netanyahu. Humanitarian aid is used as a weapon. Israel had previously prevented all goods – including food, water and electricity – to the starving population in Gaza for almost three months.
The United Nations, the Red Cross and other aid organizations, accuse Israel of violating the basic principles of humanitarian aid with its distribution system for food in Gaza. These principles – humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence – are internationally recognized and laid down in numerous regulations.
