According to this, Lee received 49.4 percent of the vote, while conservative candidate Kim Moon followed second place with 41.2 percent. At 79.4 percent, the turnout was as high as it has not been in almost 30 years.

Lee Jae Myung follows the conservative ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol, who surprisingly struck war law half a year ago and fell his country into a deep state crisis. Yoon was relieved of the Office in April and must currently be responsible for treason.
