MPs must not wear everything they want in the Bundestag. Therefore, a left-wing politician had to leave the hall. A interferer in the audience was also transported out.
Because of a Palestine shirt, a member of the left has been thrown out of the Bundestag’s plenary hall. Parliament President Julia Klöckner (CDU) explained that political confessions on clothing in the plenary are not allowed.
The North Rhine-Westphalian MP Cansin Köktürk wore a T-shirt with the inscription “Palestine”. Klöckner said she had already asked Köktürk to change the garment, which apparently rejected it. “Then I would ask you to leave the session”-a request that the 31-year-old then met.
A few weeks ago, Köktürk had caused a stir when she had a Palestinian cloth photographed in the plenary hall and posted the photo on the Internet. Two weeks ago, her faction colleague Marcel Bauer was already expelled from the plenary hall for wearing a baska hat.
