The talks between the United States and Iran about the controversial Tehrans nuclear program have been running for weeks. Now Trump has exchanged her with Putin – and brings his interference into play.
US President Donald Trump sees Kreml boss Vladimir Putin in the negotiations on the controversial Iranian nuclear program in a crucial question at his side. “I said President Putin that Iran must not have nuclear weapons, and I believe that we were agreed on this point,” Trump said after a more than one-hour phone call with Putin on the online platform Truth Social.
According to Trump, Putin indicated that he wanted to participate in the talks about the Iranian nuclear program and could possibly help to bring the matter to a quick conclusion. “I believe that Iran has delayed its decision on this very important matter, and we need a final answer in no time!” Said Trump.
Most recently, the Supreme Guide of Iran had strictly rejected the United States’ request for uranium enrichment. “The key to nuclear technology is uranium enrichment, and our enemies want to prevent this in order to undermine our independence and scientific potential,” said Ajatollah Ali Chameni on state television. However, this will not happen and the United States could not do anything in this regard because it does not concern them.
The USA, Israel and other western states want to prevent the Islamic Republic from building an atomic bomb. There were last several negotiation rounds about a limitation and control of the controversial Iranian nuclear program, but without tangible results. Iran repeatedly emphasizes that the enrichment only serves peaceful purposes.
