Donald Trump against Elon Musk – the mud fight in the protocol

They publicly celebrated their friendship, then there was a big bang: the allies Elon Musk and Donald Trump became enemies within a very short time. After his farewell as a government consultant, Musk had sharply criticized the new tax law of Trump and described it as “disgusting hideousness”.

Of course, the president, at least as vain as the Tech billionaire, could not let this sit on him. So there was a unique exchange of blows between the most powerful and the richest man in the world – and the whole world was able to watch how a mud battle turned out of friendship.

Of all things, when visiting Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Washington, Trump comments on the desert criticism of his former friend for the first time. He is “very disappointed” by it, the president lets know. Musk knew the background of the law “better than almost every other here”. The budgetary law includes tax reliefs that would further increase the US state debt.

Politically, Trump is no longer durable for Musk. The Tesla boss spreads a post in which Trump’s dismissal as President and Vice JD Vance is required as his successor. His simple comment: “Yes.”
