The Germans are becoming increasingly satisfied with Friedrich Merz and the black and red government. According to surveys, satisfaction values rose by a whopping 13 percent.
According to a new survey, Friedrich Merz (CDU) increased in the first weeks of his chancellorship in the favor of voters. In a survey by the opinion research institute Insa for the “Bild am Sonntag”, 36 percent stated that they were satisfied with his work. According to the newspaper, this corresponds to an increase of 13 points compared to a survey four weeks ago. 45 percent of the respondents currently stated that they were dissatisfied, that is 4 percentage points less than in the last survey. 19 percent did not know.
Friedrich Merz is becoming more popular – AfD, SPD and the left lose encouragement
The federal government is also more positive: 37 percent (+8) are satisfied with the black and red coalition, 45 percent (-1) dissatisfied. 18 percent knew no answer.
There is hardly any movement in the approval values of the parties. The Union increases a point compared to the previous week and is currently 27 percent. The AfD is in second place with 23 percent (-1). The SPD (16 percent) and the left (10 percent) also lose one point. The Greens win easily (+1) and are 11 percent.
Election surveys are generally affected with uncertainties. Among other things, waning party bindings and more and more short -term election decisions make it more difficult for opinion research institutes the weighting of the data collected. Basically, surveys only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not forecasts for any election outputs.
