Now it should go quickly. Even today, the activists of the Gaza ship Israel are to leave by plane.

Israel shows Greta Thunberg and the other eleven activists of the intercepted Gaza solidarity ship. “The passengers of the” Selfie-Jacht “have arrived at the Ben-Gurion airport to leave Israel and return to their home countries,” wrote the Israeli Foreign Ministry on the X. They should still leave today. Those who refused to sign the expulsion documents would be brought to a judicial authority in accordance with Israeli law so that the expulsion would be approved.

The Israeli army had intercepted the sailing ship “Madleen” on the way to the Gaza strip in the early Monday morning – according to the alliance Freedom Flotilla Coalition, around 200 kilometers from the coast of the Gaza Strip in international waters. It was only on Monday evening that the ship was in the Israeli port city of Aschdod.

According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the activists of Konsuln were welcomed from their respective home countries at the airport. On board the “Madleen” were people from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and Brazil.

The activist Thunberg repeatedly accuses Israel of committing a genocide of the Palestinians. Critics, on the other hand, hold out to ignore the Hamas massacre of October 7, 2023, which triggered the Gaza War in her allegations.

The Freeedom Flotilla Coalition alliance announced on Telegram that the activists were registered in Aschdod after their arrival and was taken into custody. “We continue to demand the immediate release of all volunteers and the return of the stolen relief goods. Your kidnapping is illegal and violates international law,” wrote the alliance on Telegram. According to Israeli officials, the relief goods are to be sent to Gaza.

“Madleen” should bring relief supplies to Gaza Strip

The “Madleen” was stabbed by Sicily a week ago. Thunberg and the other activists-including Yasemin Acar from Germany and a French EU parliamentarian-wanted to bring relief goods such as baby food and medical goods to the Gaza Strip. At the same time, they wanted to focus on international attention in the densely populated area with two million inhabitants with the campaign.

After day -to -day ride through the eastern Mediterranean, however, it ended early Monday morning: the Israeli army stopped the “Madleen” shortly before her destination. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all passengers of the ship, which – referred to as “selfie yacht” – are safe and intact. The activists tried to stage a media provocation with the only purpose of attracting public attention.

Several home countries of the activists offered consular support for their citizens, including Germany.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said that after arriving in Aschdod, the activists had refused to watch a video that shows the atrocities of the Islamist terrorists of October 7, 2023. “The anti -Semitic members of the flotilla close their eyes to the truth and once again proven that they prefer the murderers to the murdered and continue to ignore the atrocities that Hamas committed to Jewish and Israeli women, adults and children,” said Katz in the sharply formulated explanation, according to media reports. At first there was no statement from the activists.

Stop the “Madleen” without incidents

Israel had justified the ship’s stop by the fact that the zone was closed to non -authorized ships off the coast of the Gaza Strip. After the violent takeover of the control in the Gaza Strip through the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas in 2007, Israel had exacerbated its blockade of the coastal strip. The measure supported by Egypt is based on Israel with security considerations.

According to Israeli information, the “Madleen” stopped without incident. It is not the first time that activists try to break the blockade at sea. In 2010, Israeli soldiers stormed the Turkish ship “Mavi Marmara” off the coast of the Gaza Strip, with ten Turkish citizens killed.

Fights in the Gaza Strip continue unabated

Since the beginning of the Gaza War 20 months ago, according to the health authority controlled by the Islamist Hamas, more than 54,900 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip and devastating damage. Israel has prevented the delivery of food, medication and other vital goods in the course of the war against Hamas for almost three months, but the blockade has recently loosened a bit.

In the past few days, the fights in the sealed coastal area continued unabated. Again there were reports on the dead near the new distribution centers of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) through Israeli shots. On Sunday, several people were killed by Rafah in the south of the area. Israel’s army spoke of suspects who had approached the troops. Warning shots were submitted.
