The pension increase by 3.74 percent comes to July 1. The Federal Council unanimously gives the green light. Referring words come from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Prime Minister Schwesig.
The Federal Council approved the pension increase by 3.74 percent on July 1. According to the federal government, this means an increase of 66.15 euros a month for a standard pension with average earnings and 45 years of contributions. The increase is above the inflation rate of around two percent, said Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD). “This is important and good news for the pensioners.”
Silk warned pension stability and warned of the uncertainty of people through constantly new suggestions for the future of pension. Trust in pension insurance is great. “Over 70 percent have confidence in pension insurance. But only 20 percent have trust in the fact that there is an adequate pension. And every second woman is afraid of poverty in old age,” said the head of government.
