Foreign Office advises against traveling to the golf region

A travel warning of the external office already applies to Israel and Iran. The Ministry is now advising travel for seven other countries in the region – including a popular tourist destination.
After the mutual air strikes between Israel and Iran, the Federal Foreign Office now advises against all the travel to the entire Golf region. In the evening, the travel instructions on the Internet were changed accordingly for the following states: United Arab Emirates with the popular holiday destination Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrin, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan.
For all of Israel, the ministry had already pronounced a travel warning in the afternoon. This is an even higher alarm level for countries in which there is a danger to life and life. But that also means a ban on travel.
There was a travel warning for the entire Iran and Yemen before the current escalation of the situation. The same applies to parts of the Lebanon and Iraq. For these two countries, the Federal Foreign Office also advises against travel.
Crisis reaction center remains active
The crisis reaction center of the Federal Foreign Office now remains active and continues to pursue the situation. “We ask all Germans to follow the instructions of the local security authorities, to note the travel and safety instructions, to register on the crisis priority list of the Federal Foreign Office and to keep the data stored there,” said a ministry spokeswoman for the German Press Agency. “This is the only way to reach the persons directly in an emergency.”
Foreign representatives further work capable of working
The foreign representatives in the region continue to work. The German Embassy in Tel Aviv was closed on Friday because of the situation, but was available by phone and in writing. The messages are in contact with the registered Germans in the region and provide information about exit options. Several thousand Germans are in Israel.
