Reich citizens’ group was smashed in 2022
According to the authorities, the so -called empire group, which was smashed in spring 2022, had planned a violent overthrow. It should be triggered by the kidnapping of the former Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD) and attacks on the power supply. The aim of the group was the establishment of an authoritarian form of government based on the model of the German Empire, which was lost in 1918. Therefore, the name comes.
There have already been several processes nationwide against members and supporters. The ringleaders of the group, which was also known under the self -designation “United Patriots”, were sentenced to prison for up to eight years in Koblenz in Koblenz. Further processes ran in Munich and Hamburg.
