In the United States, a man who was shot in protests against President Donald Trump at the weekend has died in the hospital. The circumstances under which the 39-year-old was shot are still unclear, said Salt Lake City, Brian Redd, according to a message from Sunday (local time). It is assumed that the fatalities were uninvolved and had taken a suspect in custody, Redd continued.
At the largest wave of protest against Trump’s politics, people took to the streets across the United States at the weekend. In Salt Lake City alone, in the US state of Utah, 10,000 people are said to have participated in the protests on Saturday. The organizers spoke of a total of more than five million participants in over 2,100 cities. The participants accused Trump authoritarian appearance and criticized his migration policy with the large -scale deportation campaigns.
Meanwhile, Trump had a military parade organized in Washington on Saturday. The occasion was the 250th day of foundation of the US army. But it was also the 79th birthday of the US President. According to surveys, a large part of the US population was against the parade.
