Russian attack on Kyiv kills at least 14 people

The Ukrainian capital Kyiv is better secured by air defense than the rest of the country. But this morning there is a high number of victims.
At least 14 people were killed in a serious Russian air raid on Kyiv. The military administration of the Ukrainian capital made this preliminary information. “The search for people under rubble continues,” wrote head of administration Timur Tkatschenko on Telegram. After an overview of the Interior Ministry, more than 40 people were injured.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said in 27 locations. Residential buildings, educational institutions and important infrastructure facilities are affected. Mayor Vitali Klitschko as head of civil administration also reported numerous fires on Telegram. According to a report by the portal “The Kyiv Independent”, reporters heard drone and rocket noises and numerous explosions in the city.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a large -scale Russian invasion for more than three years. Kyiv is usually better secured by air defense than other cities in the country. Nevertheless, the capital is repeatedly hit by severe attacks with drones or rockets.
Even on Sunday night, Russia had attacked Ukraine with numerous drones. According to Ukrainian information, Russia said around 140 drones and their imitations. The Ukrainian Air Force said. The scope of the attack was significantly lower than last week when Russia used almost 500 drones in one night. The Air Force report on Monday night was still pending.
