Ukraine War: Russian attack on Kyiv kills at least 14 people

It was a night of terror for Kiev: at least 14 dead and more than 110 injuries were counted after a serious nightly Russian air raid in the Ukrainian capital. President Wolodymyr Selenskyj also called the other goals: the cities of Odessa, Saporischschja, Tschernihiw, Kirowohrad, Mykolajiw. The Russian army used around 440 fight drones and 32 rockets against Ukraine, wrote Selenskyj on X.

“Such attacks are pure terrorism. And the whole world, the United States and Europe must finally react to terrorists as civilized societies,” said the Ukrainian President. Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin attacks “because he can afford to continue the war”.

Moscow speaks of precision attack

The Russian military spoke of a “blow with air, land and sea-supported precision weapons and unmanned flight devices”. Selenskyjs meet with Trump

A 62-year-old American in Kiev died during the attack, reported Mayor Klitschko. Doctors had found a natural death with him.

Drones also on Odessa

Kyiv is usually better secured by air defense than other cities in the country. Nevertheless, the capital is repeatedly hit by severe attacks with drones or rockets. Numerous drones were also fired on the port city of Odessa on the Black Sea. The regional military administration reported a dead and 13 injuries.

Because Russia has increased the in -house production of combat drones of Iranian design, nightly attacks with several hundred aircraft are no longer uncommon.
