Palestinians: Israel attacks a lot at Gaza aid center

In the vicinity of a distribution point for relief supplies, Israel’s army is said to have attacked people again who were waiting for food. Again and again there are reports of dead near the auxiliary centers.

According to Palestinian information, the Israeli military is said to have killed waiting for humanitarian relief goods in the Gaza Strip again near a distribution center for humanitarian. The health authority controlled by the Hamas spoke of more than 50 deaths and around 200 injuries in the south of the sealed coastal area. She didn’t give details.

Eyewitnesses told the German Press Agency that people were partly on foot, partly with vehicles on their way to an issuing point when the Israeli army shot at them in an area between the cities of Rafah and Chan Junis with artillery in the morning.

Israel’s army: Details of the incident are checked

Israel’s army announced that an auxiliary transporter got stuck with Chan Junis. A crowd in the area in which Israel’s military was in action gathered and approached the soldiers. The army is aware of reports on injuries by Israeli shelling. “The details of the incident are currently being examined,” said a message. Israel’s army “regrets any damage that is inflicted on uninvolved people and endeavors to keep the damage as low as possible for them”. At the same time, the military must ensure the security of the Israeli troops. The army did not provide information about the dead.

The information from the army and Palestinians could not be checked independently. There are no recordings of the incident. A video was spread in Palestinian media and social networks, which is supposed to show a victim in a clinic. The authenticity of these recordings is not confirmed.

Again and again reports on the dead and injured at distribution centers

A doctor at the World Health Organization (WHO) working in the city of Gaza named unconfirmed reports that there were at least 50 victims, including more than 20 deaths. According to WHO, there were also dozens of patients on Sunday and Monday who arrived in hospitals with gunshot wounds. Many would not have survived. The survivors therefore reported that they were attacked near the distribution centers.

The centers are operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) Foundation supported by Israel and the USA. She had started her work in May after an almost three -month Israeli blockade of auxiliary deliveries. The distribution should be an alternative to the use of the UN and international aid organizations.

There have been several reports that Israeli soldiers have given shots near the distribution centers and that people died. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, more than 300 Palestinians have been in the attempt to receive humanitarian aid since the introduction of the new auxiliary distribution mechanism.

GHF Foundation is controversial

According to Israel and the United States, the GHF is to prevent the terrorist organization from acquire humanitarian aid. The United Nations have no evidence that such thefts have taken place on a large scale. Eyewitnesses in the sealed-up Gaza Strip have repeatedly confirmed that Hamas members had hijacked aid deliveries. GHF has accused the terrorist organization of specifically disturbing the distribution of food.

The foundation is controversial. According to UN, she violates the humanitarian principles of neutrality, independence and impartiality. The United Nations criticize the auxiliary mechanism, also because the distribution in centers endanger the people who would have to walk through the war on the back and forth.

Health sector in Gaza before collapse

According to the WHO, the 17 of the 36 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which still offer minimal services, face the collapse. Above all, fuel is missing, as WHO boss Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X. Israel blocks the import of fuel and, according to Tedros, does not allow the WHO to get the last reserves from camps in areas of the Gaza Strip, which Israel has declared as an evacuation zone. According to the UN, this includes 80 percent of the territory.

Without fuel, operating theaters, dialysis machines and brood boxes could not be operated, medication could not be cooled and water could not be boiled. “Fire break. Now,” wrote Tedros.
