The severe mutual shelling between Israel and Iran costs more and more human life. The Federal Foreign Office is now responding to the risk for their own employees and relatives.
Because of the war between Israel and Iran, the Federal Foreign Office called for the families of the posted people at German foreign representations to leave. “With a view to the security of our foreign representatives, the Federal Foreign Office took further measures. This includes the departure of all family members,” said the Ministry in Berlin. Details would not be communicated for security reasons.
How things go with the German embassy staff in Israel and other countries in the region was left open. Foreign Minister Johann WadePhul (CDU) said last week: “Of course we will exercise security, but we also have to maintain basic consular skills in the messages.”
