Trump keeps control of national guards in California
After a long legal tug of war, it is clear: Donald Trump was allowed to mobilize the National Guard of California – also against the will of the actual commander.
According to the decision of a Federal Report Court, US President Donald Trump keeps the command of the California National Guard sent to Los Angeles.
In their judgment, the judges in San Francisco declared “failure to give the Federal Order ‘directly’ via ‘the governor of California on Thursday (local time), his otherwise legitimate authority on the use of the National Guard does not restrict”. Trump had mobilized the national guard and soldiers after protests against his migration course – against the will of the governor Gavin Newsom from the Democrats.

Last week, the Court of Appeal called by the Ministry of Justice had already temporarily suspended the order of a Federal Court, according to which the posting of the National Guard was “illegal” against the will of California’s will of California.
Trump had appointed 10 on Title 10 when the National Guard was posted, a rarely applied law. Usually the governor of the respective state mobilizes the national guards for support, for example in the case of natural disasters.
The Republican had justified the step by the fact that the protests in Los Angeles had come out of control against the approach to immigrants ordered by his government and the city “burned”. Newsom had stood against the sending of the national guard and warned that this could further heat the situation. Trump still sent the national guard going.
